Can I install a chemical anchor in the cold weather?
Ambient temperatures can adversely affect the proper curing of epoxy. When using the Good Use chemical anchor, it is essential that the substrate temperature is above 0℃, and the chemical anchor must be kept within the specified temperature range (see below). To address this issue, it is advisable to store chemical anchors in a job site trailer or in a temperature-controlled environment at all times.
For GU-100/GU-600/GU-2000 series
The mortar temperature should be kept between 20-25℃.
For GU-500/GU-500SD series
The mortar temperature should be maintained between 15-30℃.
